Fugitive Fawad Nouri, who made a dramatic escape from prison guards at Hamilton General hospital Tuesday morning, is back in custody.
He was captured about 5:40 p.m. this evening on the east Mountain, after police acted on a tip from a citizen who saw a man walking down Stone Church Road near Upper Ottawa Street.
Police dispatched cruisers and captured him behind a plaza at Stone Church Road and Upper Ottawa. He was wearing a hoodie, and had a handkerchief tied across his face.
On Tuesday, two armed accomplices busted Nouri out of custody in broad daylight while under close guard at the front doors of Hamilton General hospital.
