Study says HSR needs to be expanded

A comprehensive operational review says the HSR needs to add between ten and 15 buses every year to achieve the city’s stated transit goals. It also offers suggestions to improve Hamilton’s transit system including changes to existing bus routes and service frequencies.
The year–long study by IBI Group was commissioned by the City and included a rider survey at all 2264 stops on the HSR’s 32 routes. A summary was given verbally to councillors through a slide presentation on October 29, but the full document is not yet public.
