Now that the soap opera's over, it's back to our regularly scheduled programming. Namely, the opening of the Hamilton Bulldogs' home schedule tonight at Copps Coliseum.

Oh yeah. Them.

It's understandable if you kind of forgot about the AHL team over the past few months. They've obviously been overshadowed by Jim Balsillie, Gary Bettman, Redfield T. Baum and the rest of the cast of characters that turned our summer into an endless episode of Judge Judy meets Court TV.

I went to the Marlie's home opener where they were playing the Bulldogs last week (I am a Hamiltonian, but went with some of my TO friends). I haven't followed AHL or NHL that much, but it really was a great game and great event. I am excited that we have the team in our city, and will even try to commit going to more games this year after seeing their opener.
