Massive vaccination: 'This is major' - City shuffles staffers, hires temporary nurses to carry out tens of thousands of H1N1 vaccinations

Hamilton health officials are redeploying 100 city staff and hiring about 75 temporary nurses and 45 additional staff to assist in the city's massive H1N1 immunization program that starts with a clinic in Dundas on Monday.

"This is major," said Dr. Chris Mackie, Hamilton's associate medical officer of health. "It's the biggest vaccination campaign we've ever been engaged in."
