Millions of Ontario drivers may soon face double-digit premium hikes.The Toronto Star reports 10 insurers serving more than a quarter of the province's drivers are being allowed to raise rates a second or third time in about 12 months.That means increases averaging between 11 and 19 per cent for those drivers.The average Toronto-area driver is likely to pay nearly 14 per cent more with some seeing a whopping 30 per cent jump.The Insurance Bureau of Canada says insurers are facing a rising demand for treatment and compensation.Finance Minister Dwight Duncan is expected to announce changes to auto insurance policies soon.
