A pair of Hamilton bandits walked into the arms of police shortly after robbing a man this morning. Police say a 32-year-old man was robbed by some people he met at a downtown bar last night. Media officer Sergeant Terri-Lynn Collings said the victim got into a car with them around 1 a.m. and was shortly afterward kicked out of the car and robbed at knifepoint in the area of Ferguson Avenue North and Rebecca Street. They stole his cell phone, wallet and shoes. The man made his way to the Big Bear Food Mart on Wellington at Wilson Street to call police. That’s when the robbers helped police solve the crime. “While we were there taking information about the robbery, these guys showed up at Big Bear,” said Collings.
