All Lisa Blair wanted was to wear her mother's ashes in a small, heart-shaped gold locket.
Instead, she has been plunged into a nightmare that has included accidentally consuming some of her mother's remains when they fell into her mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving dinner due to what she says was a leaky locket.
"I just feel like my mum has no dignity," the 31-year-old said from the family's east-end home. Blair's mother, Jean Kasper, 47, died of cancer Sept. 30.
Before she passed away, Blair decided to keep some of Kasper's ashes in lockets for her seven daughters and stepdaughters, ranging in age from eight to 31.
